Permanent cosmetic enhancements require a touch up perfecting session. To achieve the best results, you will be required to return for at least one touch up procedure six to eight weeks after the initial application. Be prepared for the color intensity to be significantly sharper and darker immediately after the procedure, your color will be chosen with this in mind. This will subside and become softer as the skin heals. This process can take up to 14 days. You can start preparing your skin to have its best result by doing the following:
After your PMU procedure appointment you will be given an after care kit with everything you need for optimal results. Following the after care protocol will significantly affect your results. You took the time and money to enhance your beauty, be sure to take proper care and follow all guidelines given to you by your artist. Here is what you can expect from the healing process:
Eyebrows have been known to be an important aspect of facial aesthetics. Eyebrow restoration is now considered a part of anti-ageing procedures too. Microblading is a growing technique in the field of permanent cosmetics. Currently, it is one of the most sought after treatments in aesthetic procedures. Microblading is a form of superficial micropigmentation, where pigment is deposited into the epidermis and very top layer of the dermis, with the help of a manual device and a blade consisting of stacked needles. The result is crisp, discrete hair-like incisions that simulate the eyebrow hair to give a natural look. The results are semi-permanent and can last, on average, about 12-18 months. In the recent years, with the advancement in the instrumentation of microblading and wound care, there have been several modifications in this procedure. Microblading has now found its applications not only in cosmetic treatments but also in dermatological conditions such as Alopecia Totalis, Hypothyroidism, Chemotherapy induced Madarosis, Trichotillomania etc. Proper aftercare is imperative. Within the first few minutes after the procedure, platelets in the blood will begin to stick to the injured site, this is the beginning of the wound healing process. A fibrin mesh is created within the skin, it is woven tightly enough to prevent bacteria from passing through, while being large enough to allow oxygen to enter the skin. Oxygen is crucial for your healing; be sure to follow all aftercare instructions.
There is no way in knowing exactly how many sessions and it will depend on a few different variables:
Saline and a high concentration of salt draws the water and surrounding pigment up and out of the skin to be contained by a scab via Osmosis. Laser breaks pigment down and pushes it further deeper into the body to be removed by the body's lymph and waste system.
Saline does not scar, if done properly. laser can scar the facial skin even when done properly because it is penetrating so deep.
Laser can permanently remove brow hair! Tattooing skin after it has been lasered is often unsuccessful. Because the skin on our face is extremely thin and fragile, and the laser is very strong, it can leave unsightly scars. Laser is also notorious for not removing white pigment particles (titanium dioxide), this can also leave a less than desirable look to the brow area. Laser is also extremely painful and will blister.
Li-FT is a safe non-acid, high salt based, fruit seed extract and effective saline tattoo removal process that is implanted into the skin to break up and heal pigment skin. Li-FT is made by Li Pigments in New Jersey.
INGREDIENTS: Sea Salt Powder, Lemon Seed Extract, Orange Seed Extract, Aloe Vera, Sterile Water
The combination of lemon and orange seed extract makes the solution more powerful in lightening/removing prior tattooed skin.
The way in which the ingredients are combined is so that they do not separate. The solution is not grainy which is great for penetrating into the skin. The product does not cause scarring but there are risks, if the artist is not using proper techniques.
1. For the first 7 days, client must lightly pat their brows with saline wound care 3-4 times a day.
2. When all the scabs have naturally fallen off, you will have to start applying vitamin E oil. This is to prevent scarring and to keep the skin in its optimal healing process.
You must stay away from:
Healing takes on average 2 weeks but there is no guarantee as to how much time it'll take every individual and their specific skin type.
