Microblading is an advanced technique of cosmetic tattooing that is done by a process of implanting color pigment beneath the surface of the skin with a manual tool that has a row of sterile, disposable, micro needles that form a blade shape. This procedure will produce the appearance of hair where there isn't any, or it can add more hair to enhance, and create fullness where your eyebrow hair already exists.
Pixelblading and Pixelshading is the process of gently implanting pigment into the skin using tiny pixel dots. Specialized pixel blades are used to lightly prick the skin, depositing beautiful pixels dots of color. These pigmented dots can be placed in rows to form the appearance of hair strokes, similar to microblading. The Pixelshading technique can create a more powdered look to build an entire textured brow. This technique is recommended for those with more mature and or oily skin.
The second appointment is needed to ensure the ultimate desired results. The 6-8 weeks between appointments allows enough time for the epidermis to naturally slough off and for the color to settle into your skin. With microblading, the strokes on the first appointment are spaced far enough apart to help avoid the strokes from blurring together. After the strokes are healed and sealed, more strokes can be added between, creating a more uniformed and solid look to your microblading. This cannot and should not be done on the first visit. During the healing process pigment can also be lost due to many factors, sometimes out of our control. The touch up can be sure to fix those areas of lost pigment. This is also a time to discuss color and shape. Sometimes clients want a more defined shape or darker/lighter color added. The first appointment is more conservative, leaving room for adjustments. Cosmetic tattooing is a two step process, and because of this, the touch up appointment is mandatory.
We will consult/discuss your current eyebrows; paying special attention to your expectations and desires for your optimal look, fullness, shape, and color. Your thoughts on what you like and dislike are of the upmost importance. We will take many pictures and discuss your facial symmetry and bone structure. Your brows will then be mapped. You will be a part of the mapping process, and you will sign off on the final shape by taking a thumbs up picture. Then you will relax through the procedure and know that you are getting what you are wanting. The entire visit will last about 3-4 hours , allowing plenty of time to reassess and confirm every choice made. When the procedure is finished, we will take more pictures and go over the after/post care protocol. You will receive an aftercare kit with all the items needed for optimal healing. We will discuss your required touch up appointment that will take place in 6-8 weeks.
A strong topical anesthetic cream is used to numb the area before and during your procedure. Pain threshold levels vary from person to person, so every effort is made to ensure that you remain comfortable for the entire procedure. Most clients say that it does not hurt at all. However, please do take note that woman will be more sensitive during and leading up to their menstrual cycle. After the procedure, clients will often say that it feels like a slight sunburn.

Other Contraindications:
They both share the same principles for implanting pigment into the skin. Cosmetic tattooing pigment is meant to fade over time as the structure of our faces change and the skin matures. Fading is necessary to allow for reshaping to be done as we age and desire a different look. Pigment is ink, and ink is pigment. The pigment used for cosmetic tattooing is simply a more diluted version of body tattoo pigment.
Your artist will provide you with an amazing after care kit to help you achieve the ultimate results. An after care kit is wound healing in a bag that is needed, because tattooing is the creation of a dermal wound. Great after care is essential to minimize infections, scarring, and to receive the best pigment retention. Hydration is also very important, we do not "dry heal" the wound. We also do not provide products that will suffocate the wound; your skin needs oxygen to heal. Our after care kit provides the most effective ointment for cosmetic tattoos. Any petroleum or byproduct of petroleum will suffocate the extracellular fiber matrix of the skin, because the molecule size is so large; a breathable barrier is vital!
If you are always out in the sun, exercise more than three times per week, use anti-aging creams and serum‘s, tan by booth, never wear sunscreen, frequently get facials, lasers, chemical peels, hormone treatments, ect. the brows will fade faster than a client that chooses not to do these things.
Oily Skin:
Excess oil in the skin can cause microblading to fade, blur, or not stick around at all. If you have oily skin, pixelblading is then recommended for you.
Sun:
Exposing your brows to the sun can cause premature fading. Purchasing a good sun guard to apply to your brows will protect your investment.
Excessive Bleeding:
If you bleed more than usual during the procedure, this can cause difficulty implanting pigment and it can cause it to fade faster, and heal ashy. Some people do bleed more than others, but it is crucial to follow proper after care to prevent excess bleeding.
Improper Before / After care:
Not following the given instructions WILL affect your healed results. We see the best healed brows on those who followed before / after care perfectly! Up to 70% of the results will depend on you and your after care commitment.
Permanent makeup can do amazing things for your brows; however, we like to say that it is LOW maintenance, not NO maintenance! Permanent makeup goes underneath the skin, whereas makeup sits on top. Naturally, both do not do the exact same thing.
To create a brow with the lowest maintenance possible, we always aim for a shape that does not stray too far outside of where your natural brow hair grows. The difference between natural hair growth and the permanent makeup becomes more obvious with fading. Fading is expected, and your brows will need to fade at least 50% before you are a candidate for an annual color boost. During this time, you may wish to fill your brows a bit with makeup or use a tinted brow gel.
Permanent makeup, unlike a tattoo, fades significantly over time. The rate at which your brows will fade depends on your skin type, age, lifestyle, metabolism, medications, sun exposure, and facial treatments/ skin care.
Color boosts are expected and necessary for permanent makeup. Following before and after care instructions are essential in achieving long lasting, best healed results.
Please note: Results vary and cannot be guaranteed, due to the nature of individuals skin healing process. A touch up is required 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure to assess results, make any necessary adjustments, and perfect your brows!
Ingredients: 24 PPM Proprietary Silver Solution (purified water, nano-silver at .01 microns), TEA, Carbomer.
This is a safety measure and recommended timeframe from health officials. Lightening continues to occur long after your session and it is vital for the skin to heal and push out as much pigment as possible. Chevelon Brow Bar will not perform Li-FT lightening to anyone that is less than 8 weeks healed from a previous tattoo lightening procedure.
An Emergency Li-FT procedure must be done 0-48 hours after a poor resulted PMU procedure. If you are unhappy with your tattoo PMU procedure, you can have Emergency Li-FT procedure done to reverse the pigmentation process. It is not 100% guaranteed to remove all pigment, but it can definitely help.
Chevelon Brow Bar requires at least 72 hours notice when rescheduling, or cancelling your appointment. The service deposits/payments will be forfeited when outside of this time frame. Additional deposits will then be required to reschedule your appointment, if you give less than 72 hours notice.
